Transparent legal fees and legal aid

According to The Law Society, 'It is a solicitor's responsibility to keep you informed of costs and to give you a clear bill which shows the work done and the amount charged.' and at Stephen Burdon Solicitors we wholeheartedly embrace this notion.

Helping you with legal fees where we can

Here at Stephen Burdon Solicitors we will always seek to secure legal aid to cover the costs of representation. Where this is not possible the firm will provide details of the fees to be incurred. We may be able to agree a fixed sum of costs.

Types of legal aid available:

  • All clients arrested and interviewed under caution or on a voluntary basis will be entitled to free legal advice and assistance at the police station irrespective of means.
